Hi! My name is Francesca Brown, and I am a Licensed Master Social Worker dedicated to helping people create meaningful change in a compassionate environment.
I aim to create a nonjudgmental, empathetic, personalized approach while exploring life’s many challenges. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma - Focused Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (TF-ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to develop a strong therapeutic relationship and guide clients towards emotional safety and appropriate processing.
We will work together to figure out what the most effective approach is for you. I have certifications in Trauma - Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Integrated Mental Health and Addictions Treatment Training (IMHATT). With a background in Musical Theatre, I am also uniquely skilled to discuss the mental health challenges that can result from the pressures of performing. I welcome clients of any age, as well as couples and families, into my practice. I understand that asking for support with your mental health can be hard! But you do not have to go through hard times alone.
Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, burnout, trauma, the impact of life transitions, or more, I am here to help. In our sessions, I bring curiosity, compassion, and a bit of humor in order to create a safe and supportive space for you.
I am an LGBTQIA+-affirming therapist, committed to creating an inclusive environment for clients. Over time, we will focus on developing coping skills, building emotional regulation techniques, and fostering self-confidence. I believe therapy can provide us with valuable information about ourselves that we can use to get unstuck and begin to build the life we want to live. If you’re curious about beginning a therapy journey with me, I am here to support you!
